Gary Allan Ray,  was born on  February 1, 1960, in North Hempstead, NY, and passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at his home in Lugoff, S.C.

Gary was a loving husband to his wife Stacey, whom he married on November 16, 1990. Together they built a beautiful life in Lugoff, South Carolina. Gary's career spanned decades in the construction industry where he excelled as a Grading Supervisor and Heavy Equipment Operator. His dedication and hard work were evident in all he did. Upon retirement, he found joy in his hobbies. A past president and member of the Trinity Motorcycle Club, Gary loved the freedom and camaraderie of riding motorcycles.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Johnny "Otis" Ray; his mother, Pauline Barfield Ray; and sister, Phyllis Hornsby. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Stacey Cobb Ray; daughter, Brandi Gardner (Michael Romandine) of Camden; son, Cameron Ray (Kaitlyn) of Lugoff; brother, Keith Ray (Connie) of Lugoff; sisters, Brenda Smith of Florida and Carol Bowen (Junior) of Lugoff; and grandchildren, Collin Romandine, Peyton Gardner, Ryland Gardner, Colby Gardner, Savannah Romandine, Gray Romandine.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life  on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Powers Funeral Home, 832 Ridgeway Road, Lugoff, South Carolina, 29078. with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
