With a heavy heart we announce the passing of our beloved Harry Eugene Green. Harry was known to many as ‘Lil G’ although his presence was huge. Born in Boykin SC on February 15, 1963, Harry was called home on October 9, 2025.
Harry was a man who understood the importance of family, friends, and putting his best foot forward in everything he did. His love of working on cars, music, his beloved dogs: Django and Producer was only surpassed by his love for family and friends. He was very involved in the lives of his nieces and nephews. Giving them constant encouragement, love and support.
Mr. Green served several years of active duty in the US Army. Afterwards he continued his military service for over a decade with the US Army National Guard. After leaving military service he began a career as a heavy equipment operator and later also a long-distance truck driver.
Harry was the devoted husband of Terri Melton Green whom he loved and adored for over 20 years. He was the cherished son of Michael Smith, and the big brother to 3 younger sisters: Delvirgael Leonard (Vashawne), Dottinik Smith (William) and Nicole Harris all of Camden, SC.
Also left to morn him are lifelong friends Lionel Patterson and Charles Council, 5 nieces, 5 nephews and a host of uncles, aunts, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother Mary Green Smith and beloved grandparents Annie Kate Green and Peavy Green.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 11:30 am at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff SC. Burial to follow the service in the Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, SC. Those who wish to view may visit the Powers Funeral home one hour prior to the homegoing service.
