Kay Mundy Jackson, age 76, wife of Larry Jackson, passed away on October 3, 2025. Kay was born in Coral Gables, Florida, on November 21, 1948. She attended Dentsville High School and Wichita State University. She was the daughter of the late Bettie Davis Mundy and the late Ralph Henderson Mundy.
Kay worked for many years at South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Association (SCLEOA), Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and Policy Management Systems Corporation (PMSC) before opening Lake Wateree Real Estate with her husband, Larry. One of her favorite volunteer positions was working on Ronald Reagan’s campaigns because she was a die-hard Republican. She loved to travel to Myrtle Beach and to the mountains of NC in their RV and was an avid Oakland Raiders fan. She enjoyed going out when Larry performed at various locations around Kershaw and Richland counties.
In addition to her husband of more than 40 years, Larry Jackson, Kay is survived by her sister, Pat Mundy Kimbrell, daughters, Chris Numberger Atlee (Tim) and Brooke Numberger Beach (Jeff), grandchildren, Kaitlyn Beck (Patrick Cunningham), Bradley Beach, Blake Beach (Jessica Mallo), Jessica Beach (Noel Keyes), great-grandchildren, Benton Beach, Hunter and Rainey Keyes, and her dog, Pepper. A private service will be held.
