Brandon Lee McClintick Obituary

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Brandon McClintick, a dedicated and courageous man of character, on September 28th, 2025. Born on December 28, 1984, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Brandon was the son of Charles Sherlin and Deborah Ann Winnegar Spencer .

Brandon was a loving and a devoted husband to Miranda Starr McClintick, whom he married on February 6, 2017. His dedication was not only evident in his personal life but also in his professional life. A committed and respected Sergeant First Class in the United States Army, his courage and commitment were an inspiration to all who knew him. Albert Einstein once said, "Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly". Brandon lived this quote to the fullest, daring greatly in everything he did, from his military service to his love for riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and barbecuing.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Starr McClintick; children, Olivia McClintick, Michael McClintick, Addyson Cooper, McKayla McClintick and Allyson Cooper; father, Charles Sherlin of Asheville, N.C.; mother, Deborah Spencer of Lake City, Fla.; brothers, Jayson Schafer, Timothy McClintick and Jerremy Sherlin; sister, Lauren Sherlin; and father-in-law, Richard Gant.  He was predeceased by brothers, Andrew McClintick, Charles McClintick and Tash McClintick.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 3:00 pm in Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, South Carolina, 29229.
