RIDGEWAY- With deep sadness, we announce the passing of an extraordinary man, Grady Eugene Lail, fondly known as "Hotdog," "Daddy," and "Pop," on September 12, 2025. Born in Columbia, SC, on April 20, 1941, Grady was a compassionate, funny, humble, and loving soul who lived a full life, dedicated to his family and his work.

He was humble and never sought the limelight, always preferring to let his actions speak for themselves. He was an exceptional man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. His love for his family was unparalleled and he considered them his prize possession. He adored his grandchildren and would always light up whenever they were around.

In the words of Albert Einstein, "Our death is not an end if we can live on in our children and the younger generation. For they are us; our bodies are only wilted leaves on the tree of life." Grady's spirit will live on in the many lives he touched and the love he leaves behind.
