Patsy Edenfield Dinkins, the heart and soul of her community and family, gracefully concluded her earthly journey on August 14th, 2025. Born on October 11th, 1932, to Ernest and Rena Edenfield. Patsy grew up to be a woman of unwavering faith, limitless compassion, and unparalleled empathy. She was a beacon of support and a wellspring of thoughtful gestures that touched countless hearts during her lifetime.
Patsy's first and greatest love was her family. Her love for crocheting, cooking, and baking brought her immense pleasure and created an atmosphere of warmth and love in her home. Her enthusiasm in watching sports, especially her beloved South Carolina Gamecocks and NASCAR, especially former driver Dale Earnhardt, Sr., was infectious, and her active participation in the Golden Hearts and softball at Sawneys Creek Baptist Church as well as playing basketball in her younger years, was a testament to her zest for life.
As the oldest active member of her church, Patsy embodied the teachings of the Bible, living her life as a reflection of Galatians 6:2, "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ." She was a supportive pillar to her loved ones, always ready to lend a hand, a listening ear, or a comforting word. Despite the grief of losing her beloved spouse, Odell Dinkins, and her son, David Dinkins, Patsy remained a beacon of strength and resilience for her family.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Patti Dinkins Shrader (Paul), Debbie Dinkins Cannup (Richard), Robin Dinkins Mack (Leonard); and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
In addition to her late husband, son, and parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Judi Livingston, Larry Edenfield, Tappi Ann Edenfield; and granddaughter, Kelley Reneé Conyers.
