Elliott Sheorn, 87, was called to his heavenly home on a beautiful morning August 6.2025. He was born October 31, 1937 the son of Wiley Elliott Sheorn and Kathryn Little Sheorn. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Beverly Ogburn Sheorn, sons Rob (Kim) and Mark (Monica), grandchildren Bradley (Lauren), Chance, Wesley and McCall and great granddaughter Mary Elliott. He is also survived by sister Kathy Parrish (Jerry), brother-in-law, Bill Ogburn and sister-in-law, Kitty Sheorn. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Lee Sheorn.
Elliott grew up in Camden and graduated from Camden High School. He served in the US Navy after graduation, married Beverly and attended USC. He worked for Pillsbury Foods in Durham, NC and with Hunt Wesson Foods in Winston-Salem, NC. He was a realtor and formed Sheorn Real Estate and Construction in Winston-Salem, NC. He was licensed for insurance and securities, retiring from Primerica Financial Services. He previously held a pilots license and loved flying. Elliott was a devoted family man, an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer.
He loved his extended family and was so proud of his sons and grandchildren. He loved the Lord and served as an Elder, Deacon and treasurer at Rowan Presbyterian Church. He was currently a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church, Camden.
Elliott will always be remembered for his loving, gentle manner and his infectious laugh. He requested memorials be made to Bethesda Presbyterian Church
We wish to thank the staff at Amedysis Hospice and Anita and Cassandra for their loving care during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held at Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Camden, SC on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 3:00 pm. The family will be receiving friends in John Knox Hall immediately following the service.
