Rembert – A service to celebrate the life of Robert Wakeman Greenlief, Sr., 81, will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.  The Rev. Clint Spears will officiate.  The family will receive friends following the service in the chapel.

Mr. Greenlief passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at MUSC Kershaw Health.  Born in Orlando, Fla., he was the son of the late Robert J. Greenlief and Nell Nettles Greenlief.  He earned his bachelors degree from Coker College and served in the United States Air Force from 1963 -1970.  After his military service, he became a law enforcement officer and worked for the Kershaw County Sheriffs Department from 1970-1974, retired from the City of Camden Police Department where he worked from 1974-1991, and worked at the Dorn VA Medical Center from 1992-2006.  He enjoyed motorcycles.

Surviving are his children, Robert “Bobby” Greenlief, Jr., Tiffany Troublefield (Chuck), and Randy W. Greenlief; grandchildren Dianna Mattox (Tommy), Shawn Greenlief (Ashlee), Shelby Troublefield, Bailey Troublefield and William Troublefield; great-grandchildren, Aimes Simmons, Finley Bragdon, and Colt Greenlief; and a special friend, Cheryl D. Williams.  He was predeceased by a sister, Jan Perzan.

The family extends their gratitude to his caregivers with Comfort Keepers and Amedisys Hospice for their loving care, and a special thanks to Harriett Troublefield for always being on call and going above and beyond in help to care for Dad.
