ELGIN - A memorial service for Leroy George Bench, 88, will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516

Mr. Bench passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025. Born in Ravenna, MI, he was the son of the late Marshall Bench and Florence Haas Bench. He retired from Dupont where he was a superviser. Lee loved fishing, playing golf with his brother Allen, woodworking, and working in his yard.

Surviving is his daughter, Tracey Bench Miller; former spouse, Shirley Watts Bench; and grand dog, Coco. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Duane Bench and Allen Bench.
