Lugoff – A service to celebrate the life of Ann Deas Walters, 82, will be held at 11:00am on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Springvale Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 1hr prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Walters, wife of the late William D. “Bill” Walters, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025. Born in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Leroy Deas, Sr. and Myrtle Catoe Deas. She retired from DuPont where she was an operator. She was a beloved member of Springvale Baptist Church, serving, along with her husband, Bill, delicious meals at church, and to those who were sick, as well as participating in various ministries. She will be remembered for her spunk, kindness, and generosity.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Rhonda Yeargin and Donnelle R. Powers; stepson, Hugh Edward Walters; sister-in-law, Patricia Gibson; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren and 5 great-step grandchildren; sister, Janie Truesdale (Harvey); and brother, Leroy Deas. She was predeceased by a son, Michael T. Redick; stepson, William Walters Jr.; stepdaughters, Deborah Lynn Walters and Cindy Marie Munn; and sister, Mary Truesdale.
