CAMDEN- A celebration of life service for Ralph James “Jim” Lantz, Jr., 82, will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Malvern Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Buster Morris will officiate. A private burial will take place in Malvern Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Malvern Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.

    Mr. Lantz passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Born in Grafton, W.V., he was a son of the late Ralph James Lantz, Sr. and Lena Mae Huffman Lantz. Mr. Lantz was a member of Malvern Hill Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and The S.C. National Guard. He enjoyed playing golf and woodworking, especially making wooden pens.

    Mr. Lantz is survived by his wife, Patricia Etters Lantz; sons, Ralph James “Jimmy” Lantz, III (Cheryl) of Elgin; Robert Carl Lantz, Sr of Cassatt, Donald Dean Lantz (Sabrina) of Florence; a sister, Jane Weaver (Rev. David) of Camden; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren and 1 on-the-way. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Luther Lantz.
