Lexington – A service to celebrate the life of Gregory Douglas Carraway, 56, will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Oakbrook Memorial Park, 3007 US-25, Hodges, S.C.  29653 at 2:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Charles Lee Center in Spartanburg, S.C.

Mr. Carraway passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.  Born in Camden, S.C.  on May 29, 1969, he was the son of Marie Bradley Carraway Owens and the late Glen Douglas Carraway.  He was a 1987 graduate of North Central High School and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C.  He was a finance manager with Novant Health  (formerly Doctor’s Care).

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Angela Davenport Cooper; mother, Marie Owens (John Fred) of Cassatt; daughter, Erin Nicole Carraway of Savannah, Ga.; step-son, Dustin Cooper (Katelyn) of Greenwood, S.C.; grandchildren, Emmett Cooper and Ellie Kate Cooper; step-sister, Elizabeth Rudy (Kevin); and step-brothers, Nick Owens (Rachel) and Marcus Owens (Robyn).
