The best person I have ever known, is off on an adventure of her own calm wind and pleasant heavels.

Florence May Baldwin, 82, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025. Born in Irvington, NJ on October 30, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Frederick Spencer and Ruth May Kittler Spencer. She married her late husband Thomas Baldwin in 1962. Ms. Baldwin was the owner and operator of Bloom and Crazy in Elgin for many years. In addition to her greenhouses, Ms. Baldwin enjoyed doing metal work, sewing, and reading books.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Sandra Edwards and Diana Baldwin; siblings, Johnny Spencer, Kathy Fuimara, Patricia “Patty” Schuckluna, Ruth Ann Matthews, Debbi Spencer and Joann Doley, grandchildren, Sarah Edwards and Diana Chavis; and great grandchildren, Christopher Chavis and Logan Chavis.

In addition to her husband, Ms. Baldwin was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Baldwin.

Services for Ms. Baldwin will be privately held by the family.
