Mary Amelia Tyler, 77, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025. Born in Columbia, SC, on May 22, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Dillard and Beatrice Martin Dillard. Ms. Tyler enjoyed sewing, cooking, crafts and gifts for others. She is described by her family as being a gentle, precious, loving mother. She was a very unselfish person and gave to others often.

She was survived by daughter, Angela Tyler (Jason McCathern) and Anthony Tyler; sister, Barbara Anna Tyler; grandchildren, Braelyn Amelia McCathern and Windom Lane McCathern; nephews, Chadwick Tyler (Michelle) and Chris Tyler; and nieces, Michelle Siddons.

She was predeceased by her husband James Windom Tyler and brother-in-law, Harold Lewis Tyler.

A graveside service for Ms. Tyler will be held at Fox Hill Baptist Church in Lugoff, SC on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 1:30 pm. Pastor Todd Horton will be officiating.
