Lugoff – A service to celebrate the life of Michael Lee Martin, 68, will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home.  The Rev. Joey Huggins will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.

Mr. Martin, husband of the late Laura Marie Martin, passed away at home on Saturday, June 7, 2025.  Born in Atlanta, Ga., he was the son of the late Milton Lee and Joan Farmer Martin.  He retired from the Railroad Industry.  He was a member of Shandon Baptist Church.  Mr. Martin enjoyed golfing, playing racket ball, working in his yard, and flying airplanes.

Surviving are his daughter, Micheala Pietrowski (Ben); sisters, Sharon O’Donoghue and Kathi Hyman; brother, Keith Martin; and grandchildren, Austin Pietrowski and Madi Pietrowski.  He was predeceased by brothers, Rick Martin and Daren Martin.
