Russell Walter Burnett, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late James Burnett. and Marie A Burnett. Mr. Burnett served his country in The United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1974. He loved football, especially the Baltimore Ravens, trivia, basketball and spending time with family. Mr. Burnett also faithfully served in his church and was a member of Fathers House Ministries in Elgin, SC.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Rev. Niral Russell Burnett, Sr., married to Osemene Burnett, Tiffany Yvonne Burnett and Crystal Chanel Burnett; siblings, Sherline Burnett, Shelly Burnett, Janie Walston, Jean Burnett and Earl Burnett; grandchildren, Niral Russell Burnett II, married to Tanisha Burnett, Thomas Anthony Burnett, Lydiajoy Burnett and Josiah Thomas Burnett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

The family will be holding a memorial service in honor of Mr. Burnett at Fathers House Ministries International in Elgin, SC on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 6:30 pm. Military honors will be rendered at the service.
