Obituary of Erin Courtney Powell

Erin Courtney Powell, 30, passed away on May 29, 2025. Born in Columbia, SC on March 4, 1995. She was the daughter to Robert Powell and the late Mary Jacqueline Dinkins Powell. She was a quiet, kind hearted soul. She always enjoyed reading, playing video games and loved a good shopping trip. Above all else she loved most being a mother to her four beautiful children.

Left to cherish her memories are her daddy, Robert Powell, her fiance, Travis Pierson; children, Willow Storm Pierson, Luna Haisley Pierson, Lola Jacqueline Pierson and Walker Lee Pierson; siblings, Mary Ann DeLong (Nate), Robert Otto Powell (Morgan), Jessica Renee Cooper (Scott) and Amy Nicole Powell; 14 nieces & nephews; and a furbaby, Opie.

She was predeceased by her daughter Stella Grace Pierson.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff, SC at 2:00 pm. With burial to follow service at Dinkins-Powell Home Place in Lugoff, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kershaw County Humane Society in honor of Erin who was an avid animal lover.
