LUGOFF- A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.

    Mr. Macheel passed away on May 12, 2025. Born in Lemmon, SD, he was a son of the late William H. Macheel and Lyla Dix Macheel. Mr. Macheel retired from the U.S. Army after 22 plus years including serving during Vietnam. He enjoyed doing yard work an spending time with family.

    Surviving are his son, David Macheel (Jennifer); grandsons, Tyler Macheel, Collin Macheel; great-grandchildren, Kinsley Macheel, Callie Macheel; and extended family, Sara, Kimber, George, Jennifer, Haylee, and other relatives. He was predeceased  by a brother, William Macheel, Jr.
