James K. Davis, 82, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025. Born in Camden, SC, he was the son of the late Joseph Arthur and Willie Kennington Davis. Mr. Davis worked for DuPont  for many years before retiring in 1999. He enjoyed making knives and walking down Hwy 1. Throughout his lifetime Mr. Davis donated 11 gallons of blood to the American Red Cross. But above all else he enjoyed most being a father, grandfather and great grandfather to his beloved family.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 62 years, Barbara Price Davis; children, Kim Davis and Heather Hastings (Mark); sibling, Gerald Davis; grandchildren, Savannah Etheridge (Kevin), Dillon Davis, Meredith Hastings and Connor Hastings (Gracie) and great grandchild, Emma Rae Etheridge.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Michael Davis and sister-in-law, Phyllis Davis.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 10:00 am at Quaker Cemetery in Camden, SC.  Family will remain after the graveside service to speak with friends and family. Rev. Eric Boone will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church in Lugoff, SC.
