Obituary of James Anthony Dickerson

James Anthony Dickerson 70, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2025, born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of James John Dickerson and Lucille McCoy Dickerson. Mr. James worked in construction for many years. He enjoyed cooking, music, sitting outside and fishing.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, James Anthony Dickerson, Jr. and Serene Dickerson; siblings, Linda Johnson, Wanda Annette Hill and Lonnie Patterson; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

He was predeceased by his son, Jamel Samedi.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 9, 2025, at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff, SC at 3:00 pm, with burial to follow services in Cedar Cemetery in Camden, SC. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
