Obituary of Ruby Doris Jackson

Ruby Doris Jackson, 72, passed away on April 17, 2025. Born in Kershaw County, SC, on February 16, 1953, she was the daughter of Katherine Bracey Jackson and the late James Monroe Jackson. She was a member of Bingham Chapel in Westville, SC. She enjoyed taking care of others, playing cards with friends and being with her family. She was a strong-willed lady with a beautiful heart, she would give you anything you needed and she will be truly missed by those left behind.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Donald Jackson, Sr. (Tabitha Blakeney) of Kershaw, SC and Michael Jackson (Shana) of Pickerington, OH; siblings, James T. Jackson of Camden, SC, Rev. Elaine McCaine (Billy) of Westville, SC, Deloise Jackson (Daniel) of St. Louis, IL, SSG Earline Jackson Laguerre of Augusta,GA, Brenda Jackson of Denver, CO, Galisher Drakeford Thomas of Patterson, NJ, Glendora Martin of Charlotte, NC and Chevyon Branch; grandchildren, Faith Jackson of Pickerington, OH,  Ed Jackson (Shankia) of Kershaw, SC, Donald Jackson, Jr. of Kershaw, SC ; 3 great-grandchildren; special friends Mary Workman, Frances Dennis, Annie Ruth Price and Roger and Kim Catoe; and a host of nieces nephews and extended family.

A funeral service honoring the life of Ms. Jackson will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff, SC. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
