Robert Kenneth “Bobby” McLeod
Blythewood – Funeral services for Robert Kenneth “Bobby” McLeod, 76, will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1009 Fulmer Road, Blythewood, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
Bobby passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025, at MUSC-Providence Downtown. Born in Barnwell, S.C., he was the son of the late Dalton Lawrence McLeod Jr. and Dessie Davis McLeod. He attended the University of South Carolina and retired from E.I. DuPont in Lugoff after 39 years as an engineer.
A faithful servant of Jehovah since December 10, 1970, Bobby was a devoted Bible teacher and a certified emergency medical technician who served on the medical team at Jehovah’s Witnesses’ conventions and assemblies. He was affectionately called the “Golden Boy” by his mother-in-law, Sallie Miles.
He loved gardening, fishing, and helping others. He never met a stranger and freely shared hope from the Scriptures. He dearly loved Paeton and Paisley as if they were his own and adored his fur babies, Emily and Allie. He cherished his physical and spiritual family—and above all, his relationship with Jehovah God. The love of his life was his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Miles McLeod.
The family deeply appreciates the skill, care, and compassion shown by the doctors and staff at MUSC during Bobby’s stay. Bobby and his family also appreciate the support, time, and resources generously given by friends and loved ones throughout this time.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; brother, Mack McLeod (Lake Wateree); sister-in-law, Doris McLeod-Kling (Elgin); and many beloved nieces and nephews.
