LUGOFF- A celebration of life service for Ronnie Lee Brunson, 64, will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Bishop Joseph Miller will officiate. A repass will follow at the family’s home.

    Mr. Brunson, husband of the late Beverly Johnson, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Moses Brunson, Jr. and Beatrice Blocker Brunson. Mr. Brunson enjoyed woodworking, carving sticks, playing his guitar and spending time with family. He was a grill master who had a love for cooking and also enjoyed teaching his family and grandchildren how to cook.

    Surviving are his daughter, Tamara Johnson; son, Travis Johnson; step-daughters, Amanda Johnson, Felicia Johnson; grandchildren, Tanieya Johnson, Ja’Zya Johnson, Taijun Johnson, Cameron Pickett, Mar’Kahja Jackson, Za’Mari Jackson, Mahagony Johnson, Starnesha Adamson, Tielisha Johnson, Va”Licia Wise; a great-grandchild, Ya’Moni Pittman; siblings, James Chambers, John Blocker (Geneva), Estelle Brunson (Lymon), George Brunson (Melissa); and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandson, Jayden Jackson; and siblings, Willie Brunson, and Moses Brunson.
