Obituary of Donnie Joseph Jeffers

Donnie Joseph Jeffers, 70, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025. Born in Camden, SC, on October 8, 1954, to the late David and Lillian Alma Moak Jeffers. He was a super intendent for Republic Contracting Corporation for many years. Mr. Jeffers was a long time and proud member of the NRA. He was a good ole country boy who found joy in being in the outdoors, hunting, fishing and working hard to provide for his family. He will be truly missed by his beloved family.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 53 years Anita Suzette Riley Jeffers; children, Andrea D. Jeffers (Joey), Tara J. Fortner (Ronald) and Carri M. Jeffers (Danny); siblings, Tommy Jeffers (Christine), Elaine Perry, Debra Melton and Wayne Nelson (Vera); grandchildren, Jeremy Douglas (Emily), Wesley Crane (Hailey), Reece Fortner (Alicia), Emily Pierson (Triston), Caleb Fortner (Max), Laiken Fortner (Ian), Alex Breckenridge (Lane), Staci Ryan (Sean), Tripp Minich and Lilli Guinn; 7 great- grandchildren and mother-in-law, Billie Faye Riley.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his 9 siblings.

A funeral service honoring the life of Mr. Jeffers will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Antioch Baptist Church in Camden, SC. With burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, April 7, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff, SC. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Wounded Warrior Foundation in honor of Mr. Jeffers.
