Janet Hayes Epps, 65, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 peacefully at home with her loving husband at her side. Born in Sumter, SC, on June 30, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. Hayes, Sr. and Thedus Jackson Hayes Shealy. Mrs. Epps is a member of Bethesda Church of God in Sumter, SC. She was a real estate agent for Re/Max Summit Real Estate for many years before retiring in August of 2024. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and traveling to the beach.

Left to cherish her memories is her husband of 43 years, Timothy Ray Epps of Camden, SC; children, Jessica E. Wilkes (Joshua) of Camden, SC, Joshua K. Epps (Rachel) of Myrtle Beach and Ethan D. Epps (Allison) of Myrtle Beach; siblings, Thomas “Tommy” Hayes, Jr. (Holly) of Camden, SC, Cheryl Diane Griffiths (Mark) of Camden, SC and Angie Hayes Wilson of Camden, SC; step-sister, Cheryl Shealy of Lexington, SC; 7 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 11:00 am at Bethesda Church of God in Sumter, SC, with burial to follow the service in Quaker Cemetery in Camden, SC.
