Obituary of Jeanette Burris Sutton

Camden – Funeral service for Jeanette Burris Sutton, 64, will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Boone Memorial Gardens in Bishopville.  A public viewing will be held on Friday March 21, 2025 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.

Mrs. Sutton passed away at home on Monday, March 17, 2025.  Born in Bishopville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Bessie Lee Wesley Burris.  She was a member of Community Baptist Church.  She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Charlene Lee (John) of Camden, Clarise Bennett (Veron) of Greenville, S.C., Wanda Burris (Daniel Powell, Jr.) of Camden, Steven Burris of Camden, Edward Burris (Montana) of Camden, and Quanell Sutton (Andreanna) of Sumter; sister, Mary Lee Mitchell (Isaac) of Bishopville; brothers, Aaron Gass of Baltimore, Md. And Leroy Williams (Mary) of Camden; 22 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by brothers, Charlie James Burris, Michael Burris and Albert Gass; and sisters, Florence Diane Burris and Geneva Green.
