Thomas James Woods, 77, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025. Born in Kershaw County, SC, on October 17, 1948, he was the son of the late John Woods and Ethel Mae Nelson. Mr. Woods enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing and traveling with his wife.


Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 65 years, Virginia “Genny” Cooke Woods; children, Virginia Woods of Cassatt, SC, Shirley Elizabeth Woods of Camden, SC, Ronnie Woods of Cassatt, SC and George Woods of Cassatt, SC; step children, Margaret Williams of Camden, SC and Carl Cooke of Camden, SC; sister, Patricia Nelson of Cassatt, SC; brother-in-law, Alphonso Rembert of Bishopville, SC; 9 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 4 step great-grandchildren; nieces, Wendell Nelson, Jr. (Michelle) of Lugoff, SC and Patrice Nelson of Cassatt, SC; great- niece, Ananasia Robinson of Cassatt, SC and a host of cousins and extended family.


He was predeceased by his sister, Pansy Rembert; brother, George Nelson; and brother-in-law, Wendell Nelson, Sr.
