Elgin – A service to celebrate the life of Thomas Earl Hindle, Jr., 71, will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Hindle passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Prisma Health Richland. Born in Schuylkill Township, Pa., he was the son of the late Thomas Earl Hindle Sr. and Bonnie Casto Hindle. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He coached baseball for many years and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a faithful loving husband and a proud father and grandfather who cherished his time spent with his family.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Gwendolyn Sue Humphries Hindle; son, Chris Hindle (Stephanie) of Eastover; sister, Karen-Lee Wenger of Columbia; brother, James Hindle of Columbia; grandchildren, Bobby Hindle, Kylie Hindle and Drake Hindle; nieces, Kelly Smith, Sherry Ross, Michelle Couch and Kimberly Baggott; and his beloved dog, Blue Boy. He was predeceased by brothers, William Thomas Hindle and Michael David Hindle.
