Obituary of Charles Robert Fitzgerald

Charles “Chuck” Robert Fitzgerald, 77, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025. Born in Cairo, Illinois, he was the son of Walter Barton and Dorothy Loraine Dover Fitzgerald. He loved listening to Bob Seager. He enjoyed riding horses and his Harley Davidson, watching old westerns, Jerry Springer, Clemson and Washington Redskins Football and cuttin’ up.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Tracy Jean Collier of Camden, SC, Jeff Fitzgerald (Saki) of Yokohama, Japan, and Brian Wright of Bonetown, SC; favorite niece, Sandy Pierce of Bonetown, SC; brother, Jim Fitzgerald of Lugoff, SC, sister- in law, Annette Fitzgerald of York, SC; grandchildren, Zack Caulder of Camden, SC, Austin Caulder (Lee) of Camden, SC, Brannon Kia Fitzgerald of Yokohama, Japan, Sora Angelee Fitzgerald of Yokohama, Japan, and Haru Jeana Fitzgerald of Yokohama, Japan and Dakota Wright of Bonetown, SC, Gauge Wright of Bonetown, SC; great-grandchild, Blakely Caulder of Camden, SC; nieces, Sarah Davidson of Lugoff, SC and Stevie Adams of Spring Branch, TX; great-nephews, Robert Pierce (Kelsi) of Cassatt, SC, Jacob Pierce (Brittany) of Lugoff, SC and Austin Pierce (Zoe) of Elgin, SC; great-niece, Melissa Anne Holland of Hendersonville, NC and multiple great-great nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Allen Fitzgerald; son-in-law, David Collier; sister-in-law, Karen “Kay” Fitzgerald.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff, SC at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
