Obituary of Debra Kay Smith Hilton

Debra Kay Smith Hilton, 67, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren. Born in Portsmouth, OH, on September 18, 1957 she was the daughter of Patricia Ann Craft Trefney and the late Larry Trefney. She enjoyed playing games on her phone and riding motorcyles with her late husband before she was sick. But above all else what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memories in addition to her mother, are her children, Nancy Blackmon (Clay) of Cassatt, SC, Amanda Gordon (Mitchell) of Ridgeway, SC and Danny Hensley of Cassatt, SC; brother, Larry Trefney of Barbreton, OH; grandchildren, Danielle Keith (Ben) of Elgin,SC, Livy Outen of Cassatt, SC, Parker Blackmon of Cassatt, SC, Cody McCoy (Hanna) of Lugoff, SC, Tyler Stephens (Ryan) of Bethune, SC, Daniel Stephens (Emily) of Bethune, SC, Eli Smith of Camden, SC, Justin Gordon of Camden, SC, Madison Hensley of Cassatt, SC, Anna Hensley of Cassatt, SC and Cayden Hensley of Cassatt, SC; great-grandchildren, Stellah Outen of Elgin, SC, Jase McCoy of Lugoff, SC, Gracelyn McCoy of Lugoff, SC, Wesson McCoy of Lugoff, SC and Emberlyn Stephens of Bethune, SC and Beckitt Stephens of Bethune, SC; fur-baby, Sophie and many other surviving family members from Ohio.

She was predeceased by her late husband, John Franklin “Frankie” Hilton; sister, Teresa Koster; and a great-grandchild, Walker Ryan McCoy.

Services for Ms. Hilton will be private and held by the family at a later date.
