Obituary of Cynthia Marie Early Little

Lugoff, SC- A funeral mass for Cynthia Marie Early Little, 90, will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 100 Polo Road, Columbia, SC 29223. Reverend C. Alexander “Sandy” McDonald will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation (www.parkinson.org); the Michael J. Fox Foundation (www.michaeljfox.org); or the charity of your choice.

    Mrs. Little passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Born at home in Blacksburg, Virginia into a family that would eventually include thirteen children, she was the daughter and third child of the late Carl Houston Early, Sr. and Minnie Gay Frances Myers Early. She had a career in various areas including electronics manufacturing, interior decorating, real estate, and automotive sales.  She was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Huntsville, AL. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, indoor gardening, traveling, snow skiing, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

    Surviving are a son, John Robert Little III and wife Kelley McCaskill Little of Lugoff, SC; daughter Deborah Gay Frances Locicero of Knoxville, TN; six grandchildren (Jennifer Locicero, James Stobie, John Locicero, John Robert Little IV, Ethan Little, and Walker Little); four great-grandchildren (Olivia Earles, Evelyn Locicero, Alexander Hancock, and James Stobie); sister and brothers, Carl Houston Early Jr and wife Barbara, John Early, Tom Early and wife Brenda, all of Christiansburg, Virginia; Linda Early of Penhook, Virginia, and Terry Early of Thaxton, Virginia. She was predeceased by her husband of sixty-six years, John Robert Little Jr; two grandchildren, Stephanie Locicero, and Rachael Earles; sisters and brothers, Eva Early Bryson, Genett Early Thompson, Christine Early Coggsdale, Leroy Early, Frances Early Rush, Joann Early Williams, and Stuart “Chuck” Early; and son in law, Michael Locicero.
