From elementary school to freshman year Chris was an amazing friend. He was kind, smart, hardworking and overall just a great person to have around. He was always a bright guy and never failed to fill the room with laughter. There was truly never a dull moment with him. I still remember sitting next to him in 5th grade working on a math problem together. Playing tether ball out on the playground with our group of friends. He let us give him the nickname “Barbie” and even though i’m sure it drove him crazy sometimes, he still didn’t mind. Back in middle school we had music class together and I had accidentally flipped my desk while I was still in it. Even though that kid was laughing his butt off at me he was the first person to help me up and make sure I was okay. That’s a moment I think about often. Some of my favorite memories have him in them and he’s the reason they’re so memorable. Being at the beach just goofing off and kayaking together with another friend. I wish more than anything that our friendship didn’t drift apart the way it did. I will forever cherish every moment I’ve ever had with him and know how lucky I am to of experienced his friendship. I hope he knows how much of a positive impact he’s left on others and that so many people love him.

I met Chris in second grade and ever since we’ve had at least one class together. He was always the funniest person around and never scared to crack a joke when someone was upset, he’ll forever be missed rest easy buddy

I remember I met you in 4th grade English class and we was just talking we kinda was friends but over time it grew because the teacher had us at the same table 5th to 9th spread us apart but one day I came back and we would talk every morning and that made my day because not a lot of people liked speaking to me and we also had a lot of things in common. Rest easy man.

Long Live Christopher. He was always kind and funny back in middle school, and I hope he's at rest peacefully. I remember as clear as day, Christopher would always be making jokes during lunch and we shared the same math class as well. He was always a light, and he was always kind to me even when others weren't. Thank you for raising an upstanding man and I pray over your families well-being and strength. From one JROTC cadet to another, Bravo Zulu, and with honor today we offer a final salute as your honorable soul lays to rest. Me and my family send our condolences, and we will keep the entire Sturkie family in our hearts and minds.

I taught Chris in first grade at Lee Academy. He was such a cute, happy little boy who had many friends. His Grandmother Kim brought him to school every day. He left Lee Academy after first . He was a special young man. I will keep his family in my prayers. I grieve with you. Kathryn Welch
