Camden – A service to celebrate the life of Irene B. Green, 85, will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Holiness Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Maggie Williams will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.

Mrs. Green, wife of the late Willie Green, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at MUSC Kershaw Health Medical Center. Born in Lee County, she was the daughter of the late Alberta Rufus and Alma Windham.

Surviving are her children, Willie Green, Irene J. Green, Dondel Green, Carolyn Willson, Sarah Green, Mary Francis Brisbon, Stephanie Green, and Joseph Green; sister, Luvenia Dix; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Rickey Green; and siblings, Charlie Burris, Jasper Burris, Mary Brisbon, Rosa Lee Pough, Harvey Windlam, Mary Rufus, Shirley Harris, Beulah Martin, and Jake Rufus.
