LUGOFF- A memorial service for John William Morris, 70, will be held Monday, June 24, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Theil-Meyer Pet Adoption Center.


Mr. Morris passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024. Born in Charleston, he was a son of the late Stoney Morris and Juanita Elliott Morris. Mr. Morris served in the U.S. Army and the S.C. Army National Guard. He enjoyed watching westerns, talking to people and white-water rafting.


Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Kathleen Ann Morris; son, Christopher Morris (Tricia) of Lexington; daughter, Jordan Stevens (Matthew) of Elgin; grandchildren, Olivia Morris, Henry Morris, Halen Stevens; and sisters, Betty Osborne of Summerville, Linda Wilson (Ray) of James Island, and Teresa McCabe of Boiling Springs. He was predeceased by siblings, Phillip Morris, Pat Langston, Tommy Morris and Robert Morris.
