Obituary of Jeffrey Allen "Jeff" Whitfield

ELGIN- Jeffrey Allen “Jeff” Whitfield, 70, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at home surrounded by his wife and children. Born on July 1, 1952 in Augusta, GA, he was the son of the late Calvin Rude & Louise Whitfield. Jeff was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He was a construction superintendent for 40 years and a Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and spending time with his family.

    Jeff is survived by his wife of almost 42 years, Sharen Branham Whitfield; 4 daughters, Tiffany Whitfield (Crystal), Jaimie Crumbliss (Harrison), CindyKay Whitfield Bradberry (Shane), and Brandi Chatterton (Harlow); 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; and 4 sisters.

    A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church, Highway 1 Elgin, S.C. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church or The American Cancer Society.
