LUGOFF – Funeral service for Kelley Lynn Hill Brinson, 51, will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Lugoff First Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Greg Sweet and Rev. David Robinson will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Brinson Family Fund c/o Lugoff First Baptist Church or the church building fund. Mrs. Brinson died Monday, November 15, 2010. Born in Kinston, N.C., she was a daughter of Jeannine Burch Hill Harris and the late Heddla V. Hill. She worked for Avista Solutions. She was a member of Lugoff First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She enjoyed music, bird watching, gardening, and most of all spending time with her daughters. Surviving her husband of 21 years, Ralph Dean Brinson, Jr.; daughters, Abbey Brinson and Hailey Brinson, both of the home; mother, Jeannine Harris of Lugoff; sisters, Neena H. Fortune (David) of Raleigh, N.C., and Elaine McCafferty (Frank) of Lugoff; father and mother-in-law, Ralph D. Brinson Sr. and Grace A. Brinson of Lugoff; sisters-in-law, Teresa Cook (Don) of Lugoff, and Rachel Marrs (Jud) of Myrtle Beach; 5 nieces; and 4 nephews. She was predeceased by her step-father, Wilton “Sammy” Harris.
