ELGIN - Madge Lee Klein, 79, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2007. Born on August 14, 1927 in Lincoln County, W. V., she was a daughter of the late Albert and Lora J. McClelland Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Nannie Clark and Hulda Clark, both of Branchland, W.V., and a brother, Orval C. Clark of Huntington, W.V. She is survived by her husband, Edwin I. Klein; a daughter, Paula (Charles) Phillips of Elgin, S.C.; sons, Dwayne Clark of Elgin, S.C., Edward (Carol) Smith of Branchland, W.V., Douglas Smith of Huntington, W.V., and Edwin Scott (Suzette) Klein of Gaithersburg, Md.; six grandchildren, Tammi (Anthony) Rampino of Bunker Hill, W.V., Christopher (Angie) Phillips of Elgin, Kristy (Davie) Scraggs of Branchland, W.V., Heather (Douglas) Clay of Richmond, Ky., Shawn (Sara) Smith of Branchland, W.V., and Christopher Ryan Gibson of Machiasport, Maine; great-grandchildren, Joseph Scraggs, Austin Scraggs, Kiara Clay, Kinsey Clay, Antoinette Rampino, Mckenna Phillips, Kelsey Phillips, Reece Frye, and Isaiah Smith. Mrs. Klein was a member of the Frederick County DAR, Frederick, Maryland. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Entombment will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Hillcrest Cemetery, Conway. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.
