LUGOFF – A private service to celebrate the life of Jerry Erskine Faile, 80, will be held on Thursday at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
Mr. Faile passed away at home on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Born in McBee, he was the son of the late Leander A. Faile and Eva Mae Pigg Faile. He retired from DuPont where he was an electrician and manager for 28 years. He was a former member and deacon of Buffalo Baptist Church in Kershaw and current member of Lugoff First Baptist Church. “Pop” was a handy man who enjoyed helping others.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Patricia Taylor Faile; sons, Monty Faile (Jan) of Blythewood, Mark Faile (Tracy) of Lugoff and Matt Faile (Kendra) of Elgin; and grandchildren, Maxwell Faile (Sarai), Taylor Faile, Maggie Faile, Bailee Faile, Erica Faile and Jackson Faile. He was predeceased by siblings Hazel Faile, Toy Faile, Ann Young, Frances Davis, Pauline Faile and William Faile.
