My son, Brayden McCaw and Dalton shared a room at the hotel before going to Cape May, NJ. He said the stayed up most the night talking about what it would be like at boot camp and embarking on their next adventure in life

I didn't know Dalton but as the mom of a Coast Guardsmen, I am heartbroken for his family. I don't know how one finds peace in these circumstances but I do know that God can work miracles and that He comforts the brokenhearted. My thoughts and prayers go out to Dalton's family.

Dalton was always an extraordinary young man. As a student, he was a teacher's dream! His story ended entirely too soon, but I know his memory will stay in the hearts of many.
We are sorry for your loss. We're been friends with him on Facebook, we meet at a campground in South Carolina about 5 years ago. He was a real joy to set around the campfire he was always talking about hunting and fishing. I am really going to miss watching him grow up even though it was only a week camping trip he really made a impression on us.

Dalton was the sweetest guy with the best personality. I loved seeing him in the office and enjoyed our conversations/cutting up over the years. I would get excited when I saw his name on the schedule because I loved talking to him. It breaks my heart to know he was going through such a tough time. It's sad knowing I will never hear him pull back up to the office and have him come in all smiles ready to chat! He is definitely going to be missed.
